Educational Research on Transdisciplinary thinking in STEM
Studying the effect of connecting the content across the life-science courses (Math, Physics, Biology and Chemistry) on students' engagement and long-life learning. Creating modules that explicitly establish connections to promote interdisciplinary thinking.
Al-Hariri is working on undergraduate research that focuses on developing materials (polyelectrolyte complexes) with novel properties that will help to add more functionality to the 3D printed models. The aim is to design complexes that can change their properties in response to an external change, e.g., pH, solvent and temperature. This introduces the new practice of 4D printing.
